Gaming for therapy

Can VR systems that can be bought in shops or online provide a motivating environment to support adherence to therapy? Which users will benefit most from VR therapy at home?

The Adherence project explores the potential of commercially available virtual reality systems consoles and games for use in rehabilitation programs.

The Adherence project is based on the combination of different profiles, researchers, computer scientists, designers and young people with disabilities, parents, and teachers, that work together to develop a system light mobile, adaptable, affordable in order to find motivating VR environments to support engagement and rehabilitation.
