In northern Italy, at the tip of the eastern branch of Lake Como, lies Lecco, a treasure surrounded by mountains that create an exceptional panorama of the Prealpi Orobie. The mountains around Lecco are pure and snow-covered in winter, sunny and vibrant in autumn, and fresh and minty-green in spring and summer, thanks to the area’s abundant and lush vegetation.
But Lecco is not only known for its landscapes that inspired The Betrothed by Alessandro Manzoni; it is also a center for research and innovation that drives competitive development, thanks to the presence of the Politecnico di Milano campus.
The Lecco Campus of Politecnico di Milano spans 47,000 m² and is dedicated to education, research, and student services. Internationalization is indeed one of the main strengths of the Lecco Campus. Master’s programs taught in English, introduced in 2006, have fostered the growth of a large international community of students from around the world. Foreign students make up approximately 28% of the campus’s student body, which has over 1,800 enrolled students.
In just a few years, the Lecco Campus has become a key reference point for the University, hosting scientific events and academic activities in collaboration with international academic partners.
