Silvia Serino

Silvia Serino is an Assistant Professor in General Psychology at the Department of Psychology, University of Milano-Bicocca, and Deputy Director of the Bicocca Center for Applied Psychology (BICAPP). She obtained her PhD in Psychology from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, followed by several years of postdoctoral research. She was later awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship at MySpace Lab (University of Lausanne, Switzerland). Her research combines digital tools and cognitive psychology to study the mechanisms underlying spatial and body representation, adopting an embodied cognition perspective. She has authored numerous high-impact publications in international journals and has led or contributed to several large-scale research projects at the national and international levels. Among these, she is responsible for a research unit within DUAL-REHAB, a project funded by the Italian Ministry of Health, aimed at developing a novel 360° dual-task rehabilitation app for aging populations.
