Lilian Beijer
Lilian Beijer has been a lecturer in Digital Transformation in Rehabilitation Care at the Arnhem and Nijmegen University of Applied Sciences since May 2023. In this capacity, she connects research and education with the practice of (rehabilitation) care in the care network.
Lilian initially worked for over 10 years as a speech therapist and speech-language pathologist at the Sint Maartenskliniek. She worked in a multidisciplinary team with patients with acquired brain injury. At a later stage, her findings from her PhD research (Radboud University, 2012) inspired her to consider the potential of technological innovations in rehabilitation care. The multifaceted challenge of implementing technology in daily care practice has since interested her.
From 2017 to 2023, Lilian was affiliated with the master’s specialization Science Management & Innovation at Radboud University in Nijmegen. As a university lecturer in Health & Innovation, she supervised students in their research on the implementation and scaling up of innovations in practice. Since 2020, she has been a guest lecturer in ‘Health(y) Business’ at the Global and Sustainable Business Program at the EDHEC Business School in Lille (FR). Since 2024, she has been a member of the Supervisory Board of an organization for elderly care (VVT).
