We are pleased to announce that Dr. Stephan Krohn, will be the keynote speaker of the second Plenary Session “Towards a critique of virtual reason – with Kant we can…” at  VR4REHAB-from ideas to Reality, 24 June 2021 from 11.30 CET.

Biography

Stephan Krohn is a researcher in cognitive and clinical neuroscience at Charité Berlin and Berlin School of Mind and Brain.

He is currently working on the project “Digital tools for cognitive assessment and rehabilitation”. The goal of this project is to develop and test digital methods to assess and rehabilitate cognitive dysfunction in pursuit of tools that are more ecologically valid, observer-independent, and multidimensional than current approaches. The focus is on leveraging the potential of Virtual Reality paradigms to make progress in this direction.

Guest Speaker

The keynote speech is entitled “Virtual reality applications for cognitive neurology”, Dr. Krohn and his colleague Dr. Finke will investigate the recent advancements in immersive Virtual Reality (VR) technologies that provide new tools for developing new and applications for neurological rehabilitation.

The keynote will be followed by the presentation of the VR4REHAB applications VR Traveller and  Crystal Ball by Lukas Lorentz.
